How to install a WordPress theme
One of the big advantages of WordPress is that you can swap the look and feel of your site in just a few minutes. WordPress uses what are called themes which consists of stylesheets and templates.
Installing a hteme is relatively a simple task. The installation process can be broken down this way:
- Download & unzip the theme file
- Upload the theme to your website
- Activate the theme
Using a FTP client you simply navigate through WordPress to where the plugins are located: wp-content/themes/ and copy the entire theme folder there.
Activate the theme is very straight forward. After logging into WordPress, go to your dashboard and locate the themes section. You will be presented with a list of themes. Locate the new theme and click on it.
